Our co-founder Yolanda Martinez was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Anyone that knows Yolanda knows she is a chocolate connoisseur, she loves chocolate. As one may suspect, with Yolanda’s new diagnosis, she had to undergo a lifestyle change and begin monitoring what she ate among countless other things. As a newly diagnosed diabetic and knowing she could not give up her love for chocolate, she would search the store shelves, in hope to find a low sugar chocolate, but unfortunately found a limited amount of options that did not satisfy her craving. Through one woman’s love for chocolate and the quest in not giving up something she loves, Sinzuca Chocolates, a healthy chocolate company was born.
